Kiwake: smart alarm clock App Reviews

Great idea

This has actually worked for me. My big complaint is: why the silly "night mode" thing? I want to set my alarm and be done. Extra steps and switches like this are annoying and unnecessary. Also, this alarm failed to go off one morning and I missed an appointment.

Totally works

I was a real snoozer with terrible wake up habits. This totally worked for me! Havent snoozed since I bought it, and I like the motivational quotes a lot, a great way to start off the day! Who knew that taking so many pictures of my microwave would be the key to wake up success lol. Thanks!

Not working

Its been 3 days now since I installed the application and the only thing I get is notifications without any sound. When I go back to the application, its as if it completely ignored my alarm. The only time I got the alarm working is when I set it to trigger in a few minutes only for testing. I am in contact with Support and we have yet to figure out what the source of the problem is. I made sure Do Not Disturb was turned off when the alarm should be going off. This is on an iPhone 5S, 9.3.3. It seems like a great application, if it was actually working!

Sleep Disorders Dream Come True

I have a sleep disorder which makes waking up next to impossible. This is the first alarm that hasnt let me snooze and gets me up on time in the morning. It is a life changer!

It works

I have to say this is the first thing thats really 100% effective at waking me up immediately (for best effect, use something with a bar code in another room, e.g. bathroom). One issue though: I felt really sleepy after waking up like this, so I finally stopped using it…

this really works!

Magic app

iOS 9

When I set the cooldown time for 1 minute or 30 seconds and lock the phone it doesnt count the time, it just stops! Please, fix it! iOS 9

This app changed my life! :)

Angry!

I set my alarm on Kiwake for 8:00 this morning. Used it a few times before and it was great! Today, though, My alarm went off at 9:00. This wasnt good at all... I cant trust this app!! I dont know what happened, because it certainly says 8:00 on the settings...

Actually works, its amazing!!

The only thing I dont like about this app is that you have to turn on "night mode", or your phone will only vibrate lightly in the morning and not actually wake you up. However, I know this probably has to do with iOS restrictions. Still, I have NEVER found a more effective way to wake up! I love sleep and hate waking up, and always hit snooze about 15 times. I usually struggle to get up at all because I got in the habit of snoozing and turning off alarms until they go away. This app gets me up and my brain through the dangerous "uuuugh noooo" mode. The picture taking part is key. I never want to get up, but I have to because there is NO WAY to stop the alarm from getting louder. By the time I take a picture of the tea by my kettle, I pop the kettle on and am ready for a cup. Highly recommend for heavy sleepers and non-morning people! Just not perfect for people who might fall asleep without starting "night mode" (though the app does remind you to do so at night, which is helpful).

I hate this all for all the right reasons.

I hate this app...bc it works!! I was addicted to my snooze button and j always woke up tired and groggy. I have tried to beat the system by going through the steps and trying to crawl back in bed. Cant do it. Too awake! As much as I want to get that extra 5 minutes, Kiwake wakes me up and gets my mind alert!

So far so good

This app will not magically make you sleep better. It will make you more aware of your sleep habits and nudge you in the right direction. 5 days, 5 successful launches from bed. I havent experienced the bugs other people have referred to yet. Overall I am thinking about my sleep habits more, which seems to be working, as evidenced by the fact that I am writing this review before my morning coffee.

Definitely Works!

Im writing this review instead of sleeping. Ive used it for a week and have gotten up every time. No bugs or glitches on my part. You definitely need the motivation to get up for this to work (its not like it physically pulls you out of bed), but if you have that it is a great alternative to multiple alarms or other common anti snooze tricks that I learned to ignore.

Holy crap. Actually works

Im completely shocked. I can never get up on time...like ever. And this alarm actually works and gets my butt out of bed. Thank you to the makers of this app!!! Highly recommend

Love it! But its buggy

I love this app! It used to take 20 minutes just to get out of bed. Now it takes 2. My only issue is that the app freezes half way through the wake up process and there is no way to restart the app without it freaking out on you. It sets off alarms so loud it wakes up my whole house. If that gets worked out this app would be perfect! I love it!

Pretty neat

It will get in your nerves, but it will also wake you up! The brain gam every morning is awesome.

No more snoozing

I have always been a chronic snoozer until now. This is my tenth morning waking up with this app and I am very impressed to have finally found an "alarm" that will get me out of bed. Other reviews report bugs; I have experienced none.

Love it!

Definitely helped me stop snoozing! Been using 10 days so far with success. :)

Doesnt work for me.

It worked one time, and now doesnt turn on at all. The alarm doesnt turn on by itself. It will only turn on after I open the app again, after my backup iOS alarms wake me up. Ive checked and double checked, the alarm is set to the right time, turned on, etc. It just doesnt work. Im so disappointed with this app I cant even put it into words.

Buggy

I loved this alarm for the first two days, but this morning it froze every time I got to the motivation screen. It wouldnt let me swipe and move to the next step. I tried several different times but I couldnt make it work. Then when I tried to close the app and get ready, it made this high pitched squealing noise and woke up my sleeping baby. I ended up being late to work because I spent so much time trying to figure out how to get around the bug and turn the thing off. I ended up just deleting the app. Great idea but terrible in practice.
